NatureWatch Nest Box Monitoring

Learn which species are inhabiting local nest boxes and how you can get involved in 2025

Have you seen boxes in trees around Sunshine Coast environment reserves?

Nest boxes are essential because they provide temporary artificial hollows for nesting, protection from predators, and shelter for hundreds of Australian species.

Have you ever wondered who is using them? We have too! Which is why Sunshine Coast Council's conservation officers and NatureWatch volunteers have been taking a look inside and we're excited to share the monitoring results.

You're invited to attend a presentation on this exciting nest box monitoring project. Learn about Australian wildlife and discover how anyone can help care and look after our environment with a fun seasonal activity. The presentation will include morning tea and a nest box monitoring demonstration.

When: Saturday 8th February, 8.30 - 10.30am

Where: Arts and Ecology Centre

Cost: FREE, however registration required.
