Thursday 23 March 2023 is National Eucalypt Day - a day to celebrate the importance and significance of eucalypt trees.
Join us for a relaxing and informative walk among the eucalypts of the Lagoon Walk and Koala Discovery Trail at the Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden.
Eucalypts might look much the same, but we will show you how to tell them apart. Learn how to recognise the eucalypt species that koalas prefer to eat, along with other amazing eucalypt trivia that will have you falling in love with these iconic trees even more. If you are lucky, you may even spot a koala sleeping up high in one of their branches.
This walk is suitable for adults and will include walking on both paved and gravel surfaces in the natural bush setting of the Botanic Gardens. Please dress for a walk outdoors.
Thursday, 23 March (10am-11.30am) - Bookings essential.
