Build a Hollow Log Home

3 August: Join Stacey and Alan from Hollow Log Homes and build your own to improve backyard habitat

There's a housing crisis going on - in our forests. The loss of old-growth trees across the landscape has resulted in a dramatic reduction of hollow homes, critical for the survival of many tree-dwelling species. Gliders, parrot species and wood ducks, insect-eating microbats and even endangered reptiles - all need a safe place to nest and protect their young . Incredibly, even a modest sized hollow takes more than 100 years to develop naturally. That's where human-constructed hollow log homes come in.

Come along to this practical workshop where you will learn about the importance of hollows as habitat and build a high quality fabricated kit, to take-home and install in your own backyard.

Registration is essential. Book now to secure your spot. Select your species design and register here.
