Endangered, vulnerable and rare species

The Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden plant collection plays an important role in the conservation of rare and endangered plant species of the region. Twenty of the 42 species that are listed as rare or endangered in the Maroochy area are protected in the botanic garden. Twenty-seven other rare or endangered species from the South East Queensland bioregion also grow here.
