The Wax Flower thrives in tropical and subtropical areas. Clusters of fragrant white flowers adorn this attractive climber. It makes a great hanging basket, container or trellis plant and will grow in the garden scrambling over rocks and logs. The Wax Flower is host for caterpillars of the Common Crow butterfly, Euploea core.
Description
The Wax Flower has thick, glossy rounded leaves. The white flowers have a red centre and grow in clusters of 10- 20 on a long stalk in spring and summer. Their stems contain a sticky milky white sap.
Growth requirements
Wax Flowers need good drainage and will flower best when in sunny positions. Avoid disturbing its roots.
