Do you recognise this plant? It may seem pretty - but it's the invasive Singapore daisy, and if you've ever tried to control or eradicate it we commend you and feel your pain!
The Sunshine Coast is home to many a passionate gardener, and managing weeds like the one pictured, is an important skill for maintaining a beautiful backyard.
Come along to this Saturday morning workshop about invasive weeds with Rhea Phelan from Council's Pest and Vector team. They are keen to answer your questions and equip you with the knowledge to more confidently control invasive plants at your place.
You will:
- Discover how small actions can lead to big wins,
- Learn how to identify the keepers from the creepers,
- Feel more confident selecting the right tools for the job, and
- Explore different techniques for practical weed control.

IMPORTANT: If you have a specific identification question, do not bring any live or dried samples from home. Instead, bring a photo of leaves, seeds or flowers. Your actions help keep the Botanic Garden a haven for native plants.
