The Gentle Shift is a solo exhibition by contemporary artist Tara Stower.
This evocative and detailed collection of new works explores the quiet, often imperceptible moments when change begins. Inspired by the Australian natural environment, it features delicate botanical illustration, local birds and shifting light. Works in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel and pen and ink move between intricate detail and gentle abstraction. Intricate, interwoven leaves and branches drift through layered compositions, revealing subtle colour and movement.
Visitors are invited to look closely, reflect on the fragile connections within nature, and consider how strength, renewal and possibility can emerge through even the smallest shift.
