Exhibition: Reflections

A collaborative exploration of environmental change and enduring connections to place through time

Reflections invites Sunshine Coast creatives and the wider community on a journey exploring our connection to nature and the diverse ways we care for place.

As the region faces growing environmental pressures—from habitat loss to climate change—this project brings together artists, cultural leaders, and environmental practitioners to reflect, respond, and imagine pathways for healing and positive change.

Over six months, artists have engaged in shared cultural and ecological experiences, beginning with a retreat led by local knowledge holders. These experiences have shaped a collection of individual and collaborative works, culminating in a public exhibition and engagement program at the Arts and Ecology Centre, Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden.

Reflections explores themes of environmental change, cultural knowledge, and our relationships with place. Visitors are invited to join talks, workshops, and storytelling sessions that foster connection, reflection, and creative expression.

Dates: Saturday 1 to Sunday 16 November

Open daily: 9.30am - 3.30pm
