Nest box monitoring workshop

2 Oct: Guided workshop on how to monitor nest boxes in the Sunshine Coast

Did you know nest boxes provide valuable habitat for many hollow dependent species in our region?

Nest boxes are a type or artificial hollow, installed on trees to give much-needed homes to animals such as gliders and owls.

Join University of the Sunshine Coast's Upskilling Sustainability Initiative for this guided experience learning how to safely and ethically monitor what wildlife is living in nest boxes at Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden.

Learn where and how different creatures nest, how Council’s region-wide nest box project works, and how you can contribute to it's success.

Date: Thursday 2 October
Time: 3 - 5pm

All ages welcome.

Bookings are essential. Register via Humanitix.

This guided walk is suited for everyone. Meet at the Kurrajong Shelter and wear clothes suitable for outdoors.
