The Wild HeART Student Art Prize was established in 2022 and annually invites children and young people to share artworks that celebrate Australian native species.
In 2024 young creatives aged 5 - 18yrs expressed their love of our native wildlife, plants and places from Bokarina to Bribie Island, Sunrise Beach to Mt Ninderry, Aroona to Amamoor, Maleny to Yandina and beyond. Entrants shared stories of special environments the had visited and sense of connection with the biodiversity living in their backyards and local region. Twenty-one finalists were selected and exhibited in an outdoor gallery showcase throughout the summer holidays. It was larger-than-life and made possible through support from Sunshine Coast Libraries and the Queensland State Government's First 5 Forever Program.
