Birds of Clay workshops at the Wetlands

17 - 30 June: Artist in Residence Christina Lowry invites you to play with clay

You're invited to our sister-site in Bli Bli, the beautiful Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary. Come and be part of an exciting art project celebrating the birds of Southeast Queensland.

Artist in residence, Christina Lowry invites you to craft a bird skull from porcelain clay, then add your unique creation to a collaborative installation. This free workshop is designed to raise awareness about our beautiful and diverse bird species, particularly those that are threatened and need protection.

It’ll be fun, easy and free.  All necessary materials will be supplied, and no prior experience with clay is required. This is a fantastic opportunity to unleash your creativity, engage with the community, and support bird conservation.

Drop in and spend anywhere from ten minutes to an hour crafting your piece.

Where: Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary - Sports Rd, Bli Bli

When: 17 - 20th June, 23rd - 27th June and 30th June, between 10am - 2pm
